“How much is a cake?” is the question we get most, and it is a fair one. Cake pricing in Accra can feel like a mystery, with every baker quoting differently and few posting real numbers. So here is ours, in the open: what cakes, cupcakes and cookies actually cost at Madge Treats, and what makes the price go up or down.

Everything we bake is made fresh to order from scratch in Taifa, Accra. No box mixes, no preservatives. These are our base prices in Ghana cedis. Custom designs are quoted on top, and we always confirm the final figure before anything is baked.

Cake prices by size and layers

Cakes are priced by size (the diameter in inches) and how many layers you want. More layers means a taller cake and more servings.

6 inchGHS 220GHS 440GHS 660GHS 880

For a typical birthday, a 6 inch two layer cake at GHS 440 is our most popular starting point. It serves roughly 12 to 15 party slices and gives enough height to decorate properly. A small 4 inch, one layer cake at GHS 130 is perfect when it is just a treat for yourself or one or two people.

Flavours are Vanilla, Red Velvet, Chocolate and Lemon, all at the same base price. You can see the full range on our cakes page, and if you are planning a birthday, our guide to ordering a birthday cake in Accra walks through sizes and steps.

What changes the final price

The base prices above cover the cake itself. A few things add to the cost of a custom order:

  • Custom designs and detail. Hand-piped work, fondant figures, printed toppers, fresh flowers and gold detailing all take extra time and materials, so these are quoted on top of the base price.
  • Fillings and toppings. Fruit fillings, extra frosting layers and premium add-ons raise the price a little.
  • Size and tiers. Bigger cakes and tiered cakes for weddings and large events are priced individually. For those, it is best to message us with your design and date.

When you send us a photo of a design you love, we tell you honestly what is achievable and give you one clear quote before you commit.

How delivery is charged

Delivery is separate from the cake price and is paid directly to the rider or driver on arrival. We do not currently offer pickup.

  • Cookies and cupcakes are delivered through UNOGH Delivery. Within Accra the fee is around GHS 35, to areas like Tema and Kasoa around GHS 50, and to other cities around GHS 75.
  • Cakes are delivered by Yango, Bolt or Uber across Accra, Tema and Kasoa. The fare is usually between GHS 35 and GHS 200 depending on distance and traffic.

We confirm the delivery details with you when you order, so there are no surprises.
